Clifinar Moving Up, Clifinar Nose Diving

Last week I hit the fourth position and then my ITToolbox wiki took a nose dive. During the last the Clifinar, we looked at the wiki. Possibly the editing caused it, or else, simply because I have not been active recently.

Anyway, Created some quick articles, linking here, we'll see what happens.

Lagging Behind in the Clifinar

Clifinar Update

It's about two weeks since the clifinar was launched and I am now in the 7th position. It's 02;30 in the morning so i hope my devoted readership (?) will forgive me for writing nonsense. Aparently you have to keep the content writing up otherwise Google gets upset. Anyway, I have continued to work on linking and thinking how I can up the stakes with some high page rink incoming links. Then the question is "to blackhat or not.."

Well, we'll see...

The Clifinar Competition enters Third Week

The Clifinar competition has entered its third week. I have reached 4th position only to see myself drop to bottom of second page. Just proves that you have to be vigialnt, diligent, and all the other dents...

I am certainly grateful for all Clifinar has taught us over the last few months.

Moving up, moving down

Yesterday I was stunned to see my Clifinar Web Marketing Seminars Article reach the fourth position. Some people didn't like seeing a fresh faced competitor doing well and obviously decided to do something about it. Today I am back to the 11th position.

So far I am trying to act from lots of different directions. More efforts will be required to move forward. I ain't quitting yet! Moving to the first page has shown me that I can be a real contender.

Again, during this Clifinar contest I am learning to use the various assets available. I think I need to learn more about using a clear strategy, and also the actual weighting of the various tool that I am using in the search engine results.

Thats it for this evening. Tomorrow is a new day.

Clifinar-ed in the 25 Position

Well folks, I haven't progressed much beyond the 25th position on Google. Over one hundred people read my article on ITToolbox titled Clifinar Web Marketing Seminars. The articlesBase article titled Clifinar is an Innovative SEM Seminar doesn't figure in the Google results anywhere in the top five pages.

The clifinar leaders are a Clifinar blogspot, hubpages, and Clifinar wordpress entries.

Still I am learning about the process of getting pages ranked, and seeing that you have to do, and write. It would be nice to hit the at least the second page of results. We shall see.

In the mean time here is a joke which has nothing to do with the Clifinar contest.

Two elderly Jewish women in a Catskill Mountain resort.

The first one says, "the food here terrible."
And the second one says, "yes and such small portions."

Clifinar, Philosophy, and Football

Introduction

Since Clifinar is a seminar, I thought I would share with you some information that I dug up about the origins of the seminar. Personally, I always find it interesting to read about how things originated. It gives you an interesting sense of perspective.

Clifinar and Ancient Greece

Well the seminar actually dates back more than 2000 years to Ancient Greece, and a method of learning established at that time called the Socratic method. In ancient Greece the subjects of inquiry tended to center around ethical, moral, and philosophical subjects, such as the existence of a supreme deity, the nature of consciousness, and the difference between good and evil.

Clifinar and the Debate

The Socratic method progressed by asking a set of questions with a common theme, and the participants then addressed those questions, often by debating different points of view concerning the given subject.

Clifinar and Cartesian Philosophy

Interestingly, the Clifinar often takes the same form: Clifton explains a particular web marketing concept, and Dan offers a counter-argument. These sessions also draw a lot of inspiration from the central concept of 17th century Cartesian philosophy, best described by the classic phrase, "I argue therefore I am."

Clifinar and Football

A connection between Clifinar, Socrates and football? Now I’ve got you laughing…Well, maybe not. Here goes: As I said the Clifinar – seminar traces its routes back to the Socratic method. Socrates was philosopher, but it is also the name of a great Brazilian footballer from the 1970s. And Finally…Monty Python had a famous sketch called Germany versus Greece, in which all the players are in fact philosophers. Socrates scores!

Clifinar or Death!

Well, I seem to have entered the contest a little late...but it's who reaches the winning line first that counts, so we'll have to wait and see. Perhaps the key is intensity and consistency. I'll try to make that my strategy.

Anyway, this Clifinar contest is certainly proving useful in terms of learning how this SEO business works.
